EDUCATION MINISTRY
Our children’s Sunday school teaches the importance of having Jesus in your life, making wise choices, and treating others with respect. This is done using scripture, music, art and games.
Our adult Sunday School Class is made up of adults of all ages and stages. Our class studies a particular book of the Bible through lecture and open discussion. This class meets in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. each Sunday. At times, a second class is offered. In this class the study is more topical in nature with varying teaching styles. The subject matter chosen is based upon input from the Pastor and the interests expressed by the congregation. This class meets in the Grace House from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Through fellowship, activities, and praise & worship our Junior High and Senior High students learn how they are affected by having Jesus as a part of their life. Grace Church believes that the biblical education of our youth is essential for them to have before they move on with their adult lives. The youth is extremely active meeting early on Sunday and Wednesday evenings and participating in frequent weekend excursions.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
The Children’s Ministry at Grace Church is important to all members, not just to parents and children. We offer Sunday School during the Sunday School hour and Children’s Church during worship for children ages 4 - grade 2. Also, our church nursery is staffed with certified workers.
One of the highlights of the year is our VBS, held each June. The children put on a play at Christmas for the entire congregation. When adults are engaged in Small Groups twice a year, we also have a program on Sunday nights for children. There are also special happenings during the year such as a fall cookout, an Easter egg hunt, and a back-to-school party.
One of the most special things about our Children’s Ministry is that we have a prayer list for our children. All children in the church, from infants to college students, have someone who prays specifically for them throughout the year. We feel that everyone who attends Grace has a stake in the future of our children. It is wonderful to see many church members involved in our children’s programs.
WELCOME MINISTRY
The mission of the Welcome Ministry is:
• To Welcome members and guests/visitors on Sunday
• To provide visitors with information about Grace
Church and our ministries
• To Contact visitors by e-mail or postcards
• To send e-mail or postcards to members who have not
been attending church regularly.
MEN’S MINISTRY
In addition to growth and outreach opportunities, Grace Church’s Men’s Ministry includes a range of service, group, and retreat activities through which friendships are formed, strengthened, and reflect the love we have for Christ, each other and the community. The goal of the Men’s Ministry is to build relationships through fellowship and prayer among all men.
The Men’s Ministry meets monthly at various times as announced. For more information please email the church.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
The Women’s Ministry at Grace Church encourages each woman to grow in the Grace of the Lord Jesus. In His beauty, women learn to share their ministry at home, at church, and in the world. This is done through the study of God’s Word, through fellowship, and through outreach.
TRUE HEARTS MINISTRY
True Hearts is our 55 and older group. They meet quarterly for a covered dish luncheon and they sponsor different ministry opportunities throughout the year. A couple of times a year, the True Hearts group takes a trip together to various local interests.
HELPING HANDS MINISTRY
Hearts of Grace/Helping Hands is an outreach ministry for our entire community to provide acts of kindness in times of need. Hearts of Grace/Helping Hands is not a financial ministry, but instead a ministry in which volunteers provide services to persons who may be sick, alone, or otherwise in need of help.
Hearts of Grace/Helping Hands provides, but is not limited to, some of the following services: visiting, sitting with, reading to people; light housework; help to make sure meals are prepared or available; running small errands; watering plants; providing respite for caregivers.
If you, or someone you know, would like to receive services, or for more information please email the church
MUSIC MINISTRY
The Music Ministry at Grace Church combines both traditional and contemporary music. Grace Church has been blessed with many talented musicians of all ages, both instrumental and vocal. The Music Ministry uses a variety of groups to lead worship each Sunday, ranging from congregational singing, the Grace Church Choir, and small vocal ensembles and soloists. Instrumental musicians participate in the worship service as well and these include pianists, guitarists, percussionists, and wind instrument players. We also have special musical performances from our children at Christmas and Easter. These mediums are used in a blended form of musical worship to glorify our God.
FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY
The Fellowship Ministry plans fellowship events such as Wednesday night suppers, 5th Sunday breakfasts, and other events that give us an opportunity to gather together to promote friendships and help us strive to build a deeper relationship with God and each other.
WORSHIP & PRESENTATION MINISTRY
The Worship/Presentation Ministry is responsible for the set up and facilitation of communion, baptisms, membership classes, special holiday happenings, and any other special events/services that may occur throughout the year in the church. The team also makes sure that the sanctuary is properly arranged and appropriate décor is in place for services and events that take place in our facilities as well as decorating for the holidays.
FACILITIES MINISTRY
The groups associated with the Facilities Ministry are very handy! Anything that needs to be fixed, mended, added to, or spruced up goes through this ministry. They are charged with keeping the church structure and the grounds maintained and they make sure that everything is working properly and safely.
